Join the Fintry Family

Are you a student who has a love for history, storytelling, and connecting with people?

The Fintry Estate is looking for enthusiastic students to join our team!

What Students will do:

  • Learn the rich history of the Fintry Manor House, barn, and grounds

  • Share stories with visitors through guided tours of the Manor House and barn

  • Be part of a welcoming community that treasures heritage and tradition

Why Students should Join Us?

  • Gain hands-on experience in heritage interpretation

  • Meet people from near and far who share a love of history

  • Contribute to preserving and celebrating one of the Okanagan’s most treasured landmarks

Eligibility Requirements

  • are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent resident status are not eligible)

  • are legally entitled to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number)

  • are between 16 and 30 years of age inclusively at the start of employment

  • are a high school, college, CEGEP or university student

Job Details

Starts June 17th and ends August 26th, 2026.

Schedule is Wednesday through to Sunday

10am to 4pm = 35 hours a week

$20/ hour + daily travel reimbursement (based on travel distance to Fintry)

All donations are welcome, and go directly to the maintenance of the Fintry Estate, along with the Dun-Waters collection.

Get involved in research, restoration of buildings and grounds, building the Fintry archives, work bees, fund raising and more.

Okanagan Spirits and Crafts Distillery

There are over 200 Friends, mostly from the Okanagan Valley but some come from as far away as California and Scotland.
