Laura Murphy is an Okanagan artist who resides in Vernon and is a member of the OACS. Born and raised in Calgary, Murphy moved to BC in 1993.

With a background in photojournalism and graphic design, her work has been published in various print publications.

Inspired by Van Gogh and Monet, Murphy has been painting with oils since 2020.

"I've always had a passion for landscapes. My paintings stem from my photography references or through Plein Air. The everchanging seasons provide me the perfect pallet for a blank canvas."
