About the event

Volunteers needed to participate in the BC Annual Bat Count

This is a citizen-science program that monitors bat colonies every summer. No experience needed - we'll explain how to count bats as they exit their roosts to forage for insects.

Bring a lawn chair, warm layers as it gets cool in the evening, mosquito spray, flashlight, and a tally counter (ex., paper & pen or hand clicker or clicker app).
